Mini makeup haul and NOTD :)

I popped into superdrug yesterday for a new liquid eyeliner, and of course came out with a lot more than that! oops :/

(L-R) 2True Bronzer, Barry M Nail Paint {Mushroom}, NYC Long Wearing Nail varnish {105}, 2True Cheek and Lip Stain, Collection 2000 Collagen Curl Waterproof Mascara {Black}

I also got the 2True Liquid eyeliner I swear by- and seeing as all 2True products were on 3 for £5 i couldnt resist getting the stain and the bronzer too! Ive been looking for a lipstain for ages, so cant wait to try it out properly, heres what it looks like swatched on my hand:
and rubbed in:

I think its going to be good, the only thing that bumms me out a bit is that it smells wierd....kinda chemical :/ oh well it was basically free ;)

And heres my nails of choice for today! :)

As soon as I got home I tried out the new Barry M Nail Paint I bought! Its called Mushroom, and its yummy :) I used my Rimmel Pro-Matte Topcoat over the top, cos Im loving the matte look atm (read about rimmel here.

If I could afford it then Id be buying Chanel nail varnishes, they are soooo nice. I loved the fall 2010 Khaki collection

However at about £15 a pop, they are too expensive for my bank balance!
But im happy that my Barry M Polish is really quite similar to this Chanel one:

YAY! Smiley Claire Bear :)

Have you guys found any polishes that are similar to something else really expensive! Let me know.

My E.l.f Nail Varnish Review :)

Hi guys,
Sorry Ive been a bit MIA, had a pretty rough couple of weeks, and i just havnt had the time to get round to doing these posts.
So anyway, my e.l.f nail varnishes have arrived :D (very promptly i must say!)
Firstly can I just say the packaging is really professional!

Top Row (L-R) Black, Desert Haze, Dark Red, Nude, Dark Navy
Bottom Row (L-R) Golden Godess, Twinkle

I jumped straight in and got painting- i was going on a night out that night so i went for the glam look.

I used Black as a base and added Golden Goddess over the top.

(L-R) Black, Golden Goddess, Loreal Resist and Shine Topcoat

Sorry for the blurryness, my camera is slowly dieing :(
But im really pleased with the way it turned out! It looked really cute! :)
The only thing that wasnt so good was removing it, it was quite sticky and because of the glitter it took aaages! but I managed it!

Im so so impressed with the whole e.l.f range! Most things are about £1.50, and theres not many places where you can pick up makeup for that price, and still get the quality.

E.l.f Review:
Packaging: 9
Colour: 7
Brush: 7
Price: 10
Overall: 8

Id highly recommend if you havnt already tried e.l.f you give them a shot! My package came really quickly and the products are so good for the price!

NOTD {Rimmels Pro Matte Finish}

Hi guys,
Ive been after a matte nail polish for several weeks, and couldnt find one I like. But then I saw Rimmels Pro Matte Finish advertised on TV, and thought Id give it a go.

I started by painting my nails with Barry M's Nail Paint (293- Grey)
And then painted the Rimmel Pro Matte over the top. This is a thicker topcoat that is a white-ish colour, but drys to leave the nails lookin matte and beautiful :)
I love this Rimmel Polish. Its amazing because it means you dont have to buy a matte polish in every colour! You can just use polishes you already have and Matify them yourself :) BONUS!

What do you guys think?

OOTD & ASOS delivery :)

Hi guys, had a bit of a hectic day yesterday so I didnt get a chance to post, but this is what I wore yesterday:
Boots: Simply Be
Leggings: New Look
Print Dress: Asda
Cardigan: Matalan
Denim Jacket: Simply Be
Flower: Tesco

And my nails of the day were:
RED :) Still the same from the previous post, usually ive chipped my nails way before this, but these have lasted 5 days! :)

I also got my ASOS delivery through yesterday! yay! :D

It was mainly just a couple of plain tops so I wont bother boring you, but I ordered these jeggings:

And I <3 them

Apologies for my complete state of a face and the hideously messy hair! This was approx 2am last night :S
But anyway the jeggings, they are brilliant, unlike normal jeggings they are thick, and actually feel like jeans, rather that just leggings made to look like jeans. They have an elasticated waistband, a sde zip and ruching down the sides. I am definately keeping these :)

My really exciting evening :S

Hi guys,
Ive just spent the last 3 hours tidying my room cos the parents are visiting at the weekend :S
Im seriously the untidiest person you will EVER meet!

This is my room at approx 7pm:
Disgusting I know. Ive been hiding away in here all week working on my dissertation, and have barely ventured out for lectures, the mess just builds up!!!
I couldnt even get to the wardrobes because of the massive pile of clothes from when im getting dressed in the morning and i try things on, and then decide not to wear them...so I just chuck them on the floor :S

However, this is my room now:

Not perfect I know, but Im getting there. I need to hoover but its a bit late, I dont want to annoy the people beneath me!

I also arranged my clothes into day and night wardrobes :)

Going out clothes {+Blazers and Jackets}
Daytime clothes {inc cardigans}

As you can see I have 2 wardrobes and still everything is rammed in! The scary thing is I have even more clothes back at home (not at uni)! :S

Have you guys got any good tips when it comes to organising clothes?

Double Black and White Dorothy Perkins Dress, and Simply Be Boots :D

This is my outfit from yesterday guys:
Leggings Topshop
Polka Dot Dress: Dorothy Perkins
Tan Belt: Primark
Earrings (just seen): Peacocks
Cardigan: Primark

I dont really have any clothes that are plain to wear with the black and white Primark caridgan, so I thought Id wear it with my polka dot dress.

I <3 this dress! Its beautiful! I wanted one of the skater dresses for ages, but didnt have the £30 odd quid to pay for it at the time! However I found this dress at the very end of summer in the SALE, for £16!!! It is a size 16, (I usually wear and 18 in DP) but because the material is quite stretchy it fits!! :) I always manage to find some amazing stuff in the Dorothy Perkins Sale! Being a plus size girl, its often quite hard to find my size left in sales, as they are never as many things, but with DP, I always find something to spend my hard earned cash on :P. The quality of DP clothes are always very good too, and they are one of the few stores that do go up to a size 22!! So YAY for Dorothy Perkins!!

Even my mum loved this dress, she usually thinks what I wear is a bit wierd, but I fear she may steal this one!! :/

I also want to mention these beautiful boots:

They are seriously the BEST pair of boots Ive ever owned. They are from SIMPLY BE.
I bought them last year in the autumn, they were a bit more than Id usually spend on boots (cant remember exactly but about £55) but I loved them, and during the winter I hardly took them off, and they are such good quality, Im sure they will still be wearable for several more years!! I got them in black as well for Xmas last year, so I can alternate between the 2 pairs, but the tan is still my fave!

Ive also got these boots in black from SIMPLY BE:

They are also AMAZING :)
I love Simply Be Shoes as they have extra wide fittings, and I find it such a hassle to buy shoes from the highstreet because my feet are so wide so they are PERFECT! <3

I have several pieces of clothing from Simply Be aswell, and If your a plus size girl and youve never ordered from them I highly recommend you try them out (especially the shoes!!)

Here's some of the Simply Be items Im lusting after at the mo (bring on Xmas Paycheck):

 Tunic Dress £35

 Tie Die Dress £28
Recycled Clutch Bag £15
Ravel Courts £50
Bordello Leopard Print Platform £70
Damn I wish I could wear heels without being 6 foot 2!! :(

What do you guys think?
Have you got any favourite Simply Be items?

Primark Haul, and New Nails

Hi guys,
Sorry ive been a bit absent, Ive been mega busy working on my FYP :(
Anyways, I decided a bit of retail therapy was needed to cheer me up :)

Firstly I had my nails redone :)
Sorry for the hideous scar on my finger (stupid knife accident last year...long story)
The infills were only £14 cos the salon had a discount on. I went for a colour this time rather than plain old white tips. I chose red, because its a classic, and it goes with pretty much everything. The nail varnish the lady used was OPI (which I love, but sadly cannot afford) and I think that shade was called Red my Fortune Cookie or Colour so hot it beams....I looked at so many I cant remember :S
Anyways...what do you think??

I then went to Primark and bought:
Tan Satchel Bag £9
Brown and Beige Gloves £ 1
Black Ring £1.50
Silver Ring set £2
Nude Belt £2
Brown Waisted Belt £3

Jumper Dress £11

Cardigan £17

'Weekend Bag' £6
I really needed a bag to take back home for weekends, but there wasnt much choice, it was either this one, one with butterflies (which i hate!) or a bright pink one, so I plumped for this one.

I also went to Superdrug, because Id heard about their makeup range where everything is £1!! I HAD to check it out. I have to say I was quite impressed. There was quite a wide range of products. I picked up a couple of bits to try out.

L-R
MUA Nail Varnish (a sort of cosmic blue with sparkles) £1
Eyelashes 2True £1.50 (obvs not from the MUA range but i heard they were good)
MUA Bright Blue Eyeliner £1
MUA Lipstick £1 (Bright Pink with Shimmer)

I will be testing out those MUA products asap, has anyone else bought/used them before? How were they?
